They agreed to fight before the Sturm fight jackass. But if you want to play the fool and pretend that a ten million dollar payday, by far Hopkins career high, wasn't the main reason then go right ahead.

GGG isn't just a brawler; he's got skills.

For Floyd to sit in the corner or along the ropes against Cotto or Pacquaio is one thing. Against GGG he's going to get hurt.

In those Hagler days, weigh was done on the same day as the fight...

when is ggg and his people going to stop calling out smaller fighters and start calling out fighters bigger then him. am i the only one who notices this? i guess to be fair he did try to fight froch and chavez but seems like he calls out everyone smaller then him even 2 weight classes but u dont hear him calling out ward or people 2 weight classes above him. i dont know i just want to see ggg is a challenging fight so bad so it makes me bias but geez at some point hes got to quit calling out mayweather which aint going to happen and it shouldnt. cotto who has never weighed in above 155 and cotto who has never fought in a bought above 155. i want to see canelo ggg as much as the next guy its just what i see.

What does this have to do with anything at all? It was same day when LaMotta beat Sugar Ray and outweighed him by like 20 pounds as well too. Not sure why I have to continue to spell out the reason here on NSB - the biggest fights, the biggest stars, the biggest paydays were against guys smaller than those mentioned middleweights.

At this moment in time!? Nah, Ward hasn't fought in damn near 2 years, and has fought about 4 times in 5 years! Golovkin has been active. If Ward believed that he would have chosen a better fighter than Smith, who , regardless of the contorversy of the first Abraham fight is 0-2 in the last year!
