    "swerved like the plague"

you can't make this stuff up.

carl froch is overrated in every possible regard. overrated power. overrated chin. overrated resume. overrated attitude toward fighting all comers. he's scared of ward and golovkin. he'd fight ward in nottingham because ward can't punch, and they could rob him. golovkin would still knock him out in nottingham and end his career, so that won't happen anywhere. it is what it is.

It seems like everyone is avoiding GGG. No one wants to fight this guy.

Even though I certainly think Ward should have been stripped long ago I suppose this is the point of the whole super champion nonsense. The world/regular champion faces the brunt of the mandatories whilst the super champion.....ermm....gets time to catch up on his correspondences or something. In Ward's case it allowed him time to lose multiple legal fights with his promoter but luckily for him those losses don't count on his record.

not really the same at all though. ward was being withheld from the ring even tho he didnt want to be. he had legal disputes and injury where as froch only reason for not fighting was himself. you can argue ward did the legal trouble to himself but it dont matter he was not fighting because of it and him promoter was supposed to get him fights even while it was going on. i think they did end up stripping him tho

Ward's legal problems were of his own making. He was acting like a spoiled, entitled brat after his promoter had gotten him home ring advantage throughout the Super Six tournament. How did Ward pay him back? By suing him and breaking his contract. And Ward lost over and over again in court and kept going back for more. He had no one to blame for his inactivity but himself and should have been stripped of his WBA title long ago. At the very least he should have been stripped when RING stripped him of their title.

Considering that his next fight is at a 172 catchweight and his title is not at stake, he could easily be stripped now as it will have been at least three years before he does defend his title again.

But Ward hasn't fought a mandatory ever? Is it now WBAs problem that Ward doesn't want to fight because of some petty bs? Please.

Ward was ordered to fight Froch, was given an opportunity but declined because he didn't want to go to England. Simple. Within a matter of days after news broke, he signs to fight Paul Smith. Su****ious? Yes.

Our Froch will go retire and go straight into the HOF.

                    Ward will not.

Is anybody surprised that Froch is ducking Golovkin? Golovkin ends his career and sends him to a retirement home.

Hell 5 years ago Golovkin would end Froch's career- in 2015 it would be borderline illegal to make this fight.

Nothing to see here. Add Froch to the list of guys ducking GGG.
