As long as the statue is realistic. Floyd standing tall next to beaten women
Should the MGM Grand erect a statue of Floyd Mayweather after his retirement?

He's not very well liked and when he's retired no one is going to want to see a Mayweather statue. Reason being, he's got the heel role but not the charismatic heel. He learned how to sell himself from WWE. McMahon learned long ago that an irritating heel can sell just as well as a babyfaced hero because people tune in, in hopes to see the heel lose. That's a huge part of his PPV numbers. I think that's completely legit and he's rightfully made a fortune doing that, but he's not the kind of guy people want to see a statue of because he lacks public adoration. That's why he has so few sponsors but guys like Pacquiao and Alvarez have sponsors beating down the door. Floyd would love that sponsor money but companies don't invest in him because he's not admired by the public.

This may be a bit much for you to understand, but try re-reading it again and see how the ppv success is not related to sponsorship. I explained it pretty well and I'll bet you can figure it out if you try real hard.Comment
