Floyd fans were all complaining about Maidana though when he would retaliate and dish some of his own to boot. So whatever the FLoyd fans are saying here is BS.

Floyd fans are just trying to deflect what Floyd does.

Next fight, they got Kenny STOP STOP Bayless because of Floyd's crying.

I mean if the other person is gonna implement illegal tactics...why not fight fire with fire?? and let the other fighter pay the price for his tactics or he will stop doing it.....or better yet the ref would maybe start doing his job........

OP, you do not teach them to cheat, you do not teach them something illegal, you do not resist what the public wants because boxing is after all still a business, and most importantly you do not fix a wrong decision with another wrong decision, instead, you adjust/change the rule of the game to make it better; -- to make it closer to what the public envisioned it to be.

Which is why the best solution is to encourage both fighters to practice the real modern day sweet science which is: "hit and not get hit and be in position to hit again." this is important, because the modern day sweet science discourages those hit and runners/huggers which are the remnants of old traditional sweet science practitioners which is: "hit and not get hit only", which have evidently contributed greatly in hurting the business of boxing as a whole due to the casual fans perception of that style as boring and yet still winning. Casual fans don't understand this so called traditional sweet science which the purists is so fond of, I'm not saying it's time to phase it out, but, instead, it's time to upgrade it, make it better and make it closely appealing to what the casual fans envisioned it to be. It is very important, because casual fans is the engine of the sport, they dictate the direction of where the business or boxing is headed. You give them what they want, and you will reap what you sow.

I'm talking about deducting a point from each fighter in every clinch.

You really think that's the answer?

Honestly it is as if a lot of guys put zero effort into dealing with that in the gym. If a fighter clinches it is not like it is some surprising maneuver, and if it is their go to defense then that needs to be taken apart first and foremost.

Once that is gone the guy that clinches will be ass out, it is like anything else if someone is using it as a crutch you need to kick that crutch out.

If there is a will there is a way, it is not some impossible thing to deal with.

There is a difference between hugging to win (excessivly) and hugging to take away your oponents strengths, clinching is taught as a tactic to make ur oponent reset their attack, this is what floyd did when he needed to as well as moved when he needed to. But anything he does is overexagerated... When a southpaw fights an ortho their is usually alot of hugging.... Floyd did not hug excessivly in this fight its just an excuse (one of many) that pac fanatics use.

Maybe pac man has never learned any dirty boxing, most of the greats did

mostly all of the greats have used clinching and dirty boxing as a part of their arsenal but now its the worst thing a fighter can do. These guys are new to boxing it seems.... but have the most to say in threads or conversations about the sport. Its funny to me... These same people say ali was the greatest lmaoooooooo one of the heaviest clinchers in the sports history
