Arum will just throw Pac in with anyone and use him as a stepping stone for Jessie Vargas or Terence Crawford in a year or two.
that is the order of things.

to survive boxing feeds the old to the young.

feeding the past (pacquiao) to the future (crawford) introduces new fighters to the casual fan.

beating old superstars makes new ones or at least known .

delahoya did it for pac, now pac's turn.

old fighters beaten to retirement is norm.

guys like calzaghe, marciano, floyd is rare.

I get what you're saying, and in a lot of cases you're right, but DLH wanted that fight with Pacquiao and was a pretty big favorite as I recall. He wasn't going in the fight to be fed to Pacquiao. Instead it just worked out that way. And in a way, if Pac was to retire now -- one could look at it as him being beaten into retirement.

Here in recent memory he has been brutally KO'd, and then not long after that, he was outclassed by a guy he was hyped to beat for years. There's just zero point in continuing unless he needs the money THAT bad...which could indeed be the case, unfortunately.

In other words the guys on the come up are looking to make a name off of a manny PAC win and they aren't going to be giving you any edges in a fight by draining themselves or skipping divisions or fighting in Macau... Any NATURAL welter that can counter punch takes you to hell and back. Don't prove it the rest of the world what a lot of us on this site have known for years ...

pac aint laying down for crawford either. crawford got to still beat him.

i don't understand this "NOTHING LEFT TO FIGHT FOR" stuff.

he can still make money and he can still beat guys.

he lost to floyd. try again or fight someone else.

Pac could still beat anyone (not counting the obvious bigger ones) other than Floyd

he still have those quick reflexes, fast hands and decent chin

Sax part is both Floyd and Mamny could probably continue fighting and beat and embarrass most of the guys at 140-154. Bit would that help or hurt boxing? I guess it ducks that there are very few actual elite talents in boxing nowadays.

Yeah I guess so. I love watching dude fight so if he decides to keep it moving, I'll surely be front & center of the TV screen whenever he fights again (if he fights again).

i would still favor him against anybody on 140-147 not named floyd.
the floyd loss stings for casual fans but for hardcore boxing fans, it was just a bad style match-up for pac. floyd knows how to win regardless of how..

some threads here were all like "Floyd beat Pac; Pac=beatable"

Mayweather dominated? like i said, there'a a reason why Floyd landed career low on Pac

A healthy Manny Pacquiao is the best contender in his division.
