Of course you didn't see it...you were looking right at Canelo who had just jabbed you in the stomach.
Had you thinking "damn what's he going to throw now?".

Canelo is offensively gifted and has shown that you're not gonna just walk him down without paying a price. I hope James is okay. I hope both men are safe and in good health.

anyone who stands there in front of canelo is gonna end up a battered punching bag..U have to box him intelligently early on and be patient till the later rounds to press the action. Canelo has sharp punching power and great punch selection. He's too dangerous to attack head on early in the fight. They gave james the wrong gameplan for this bout. That trainer of his clearly didnt understand what he was getting into and it showed. James came in tough and gritty, but lacked the ring I.Q. to execute. Great win for canelo and hope to see him again in the ring again soon. Kirkland is a true warrior and I hope he recovers and gets back in the ring again soon.

“I left my left hand down and he came over the top and caught me with a shot. I tried to regroup. The referee, he called it off,” Kirkland said in his initial post-fight interview, with HBO’s Max Kellerman.

How could he possibly see that punch without Anne Wolfe!?

Kirkland was knocked out on his feet from the first semi hard punch in round 1 so he wasn't seeing a lot in that fight.

I saw when it happened and the only reason it went 2 and a half rounds is I think Canelo didn't quite noticed just how bad he had hurt Kirkland then probably didn't think he hit him that hard .

I forgot about that late big shot on Tapia after the ref had already jumped in. Plus there was Kirkland trying to intimidate Canelo when they met at the center of the ring before the opening bell...Canelo was looking down and Kirkland ducked underneath him to look at Canelo, lol.

He didnt see the punch? In the slow motion he watched it come all the way in! Hahhaha Kirkland needs to go back to Wolfe or retire.

That was about as brutal a beatdown I've seen in years.
