I just rewatched the Alvarez Mayweather fight. While it was a clear Mayweather win it is probably his most vastly overrated domination next to his Pacquiao win. The rounds were decided by a punch or two going in Mayweathers favor. Especially the early ones. I think Box Nation gave Canelo 3-roubds and some of the early rounds were literally the difference of 1-2 punches. It was more running around as usual from the master boxer. However he did land the cleaner punches.
Would Canelo/Mayboy be different now?

Count me among the 10 percent who think it would be different and Canelo would knock him out. I was not impressed with Mayweather winning a 116 to 112 points win over a Pacquiao who fought ******ly and poorly. Canelo has improved a lot since his loss to Mayweather and he looked great last night. Mayweather has slowed down a little and rarely throws more than one or two punches at a time. He was able to hold Pacquiao when Pacquiao tried to throw combinations up close. Canelo is too strong for Floyd to tie him up like that. I think having to lose two extra pounds hurt Canelo in his fight with Mayweather. A rematch at 154 and my money is on Canelo, absolutely. Floyd will never take Canelo on at 154 just as he wouldn't fight him at 154 the first fight.Comment

Canelo gets schooled again
Mayweather style is no good for Canelo
only way canelo beating him is if they fight when mayweather is like 50 years old or some ****Comment

Hell ****in no probably not. Canelo's problem is his arsenal isnt as well rounded as it needs to be. He throws these straight repetitive shots that Floyd immediately gone in a groove with and simply just worked around it. Canelo **** the bed fighting Floyd and should have been able to trap and touch him a up a little. I mean seriously I'd at least like to see a nice overhand right for once from the kidComment

I think if Canelo goes in with a different gameplan it could be more competitive...sure.
For instance, take up Maidana's tactics. Aim to throw over a thousand punches and be a bull in the clinch. Impose your size. Don't try to outbox Floyd you cantComment
