Would Canelo's slow start fall into Cotto's favor?

Lara did great? Lol. Trout did great? I'll commend Trout for a vialant effort but he didn't do great. He got his ears boxed off rounds 6-12 and got his chin cracked. Once Lara felt the power he just tried to survive and ended up giving the fight away because of it. Like I said name the fighters not named Mayweather that look good against Canelo, I'll wait...

No one, because he's that good. He's at the top fo the game and he's here to stay. If you can't refute my points then deal with it.

Lara looked pretty good the one that looked like **** for being unable to cut off the ring was Canelo who is one dimensional and looks good only against face first brawlers he can counter punch.

Lara looked just about as good as Canelo did. Do if by your measure Canelo looked bad, then Lara must have looked pretty bad as well. If Lara looked pretty good, then do did Canelo because the fight was pretty much a draw so...?

I had lara winning 116-113. The rounds Lara lost was basically because he dint threw punches when he did he schooled Canelo.

Only until Miguelito starts eating "uppercuts al pastor" again, like in the Margarito fights.

Well, I would like to tell you that your score card is in the minority.. But I myself had it 7-5 Lara or a draw would be sufficient. It was a one round fight either way and hardly anyone looked great, and the biggest of Lara fans will tell you he didn't look great. He did well neutralizing Canelo's power with movement but he looked far from great..

My point being is that no one looks great fighting Canelo (not named Mayweather) because he's that good and that powerful. If you try to sit and box with him he beats you, like Trout, if you try to slug it out with him, he beats you like Kirkland. He gives everyone a tough fight and even though Mayweather schooled him he knew he coukdnt sit there and slug it out with him too.

I would argue that Cotto's hooks are sharper and more precise than Canelo's. Canelo does have the upper hand as far as inside fighting and uppercuts go. I think Plasterito would have won that night even if his gloves weren't loaded, Cotto is simply unable to deal with that kind of pressure.

Cotto lost to trout and would lose to Lara if they fought.

Canelo has damn good hooks of his own, particularly against guys with shit head movement, like Cotto. Inside fighting is obviously a no-brainer : Canelo loves it and Cotto can't handle it.

Should be a good scrap regardless but the only chance I give Cotto lies in Canelo's own admiration of his skill. He thinks he's a much slicker fighter than he actually is, hence his ******ed decision to box Floyd instead of **** him out.

If he does that with Cotto he might give away some rounds. But if he walks him down and makes Cotto fight inside with him then Miguel will be taking knees again in no time.
