What fans expected and what they got was that Kirkland was going to bring it full throttle.....and he did. What fans expected was excitement and that's what they got.

Canelo is leading the WAR !!!! I didn't think he had it in him , wished he would have charged Jr in their fight instead of laying back, JR pity pats then runs like a chicken, KIRKLAND was Throwing BOMBS,,,,,and kept coming !!!!!!
OMG you're such a cry baby! Pac lost! Accept the loss and move on! Jesus you act like you're the one who was fighting that night.

That being said, it was a pretty good fight, but it didn't last long enough and it was too one sided. Yes Kirkland was throwing back, but the body work Canelo laid down slowed Kirkland down so much that by the 2nd round Kirkland's punches had nothing on them.

Pac and Floyd don't need to fight more like Canelo and Kirkland....but the fact is, their fight was anti-climactic and expectations of a fever pitched battle was not met; their styles and what they produced did not mesh well, especially from the hype and especially because of the cost, its that simple. The entire HBO commentating team and fans worldwide saw far more excitement last night as opposed to last Saturday. People want excitement in boxing. It is what it is and nothing is going to change that.

                  Kirkland is slower than Buboy

Kirkland is very slow and stands with his feet 6 feet apart with zero balance. Kirk comes straight in huge head open with no defense at all. Kirk takes many punches but is still terrible. Very average going nowhere but back to prison eventually. 100lb head cannot take shots.

I don't think a man with a weak chin last that long. Kirkland was a warrior who was beaten by a better fighter. That is it.

Don't take away credit from Canelo by making ridiculous statements of Kirkland having a glass chin when we just saw the punches he took.
I've seen about a dozen posts on this thread, about glass jawed, porcelain chinned etc etc kirkland.

Its like some self perpetuating urban myth, there is some medium ground between having a granite chin and a glass jaw. He may not have the best chin but the right uppercut previous to the KO was worthy of finishing a fight itself. If he had a glass jaw that would have been game over right there, especially after the savage blows and body work already sustained.

Laugh all you want about about kirklands best win being against angulo. He may not have the best skill set but the fact he could **** is not up for debate, the couple of times he clipped lara he was on ***** street.

Could a guy with a glass jaw survive a war of attrition with angulo?
Does anybody remember him walking through every clean shot Tapia hit him with ?
