It's only a matter of time until GGG fights someone with enough skill to box his ears off or enough power to take advantage of the fact that GGGS defence has holes and he is there to be hit. Jacobs is a big hand. If he lands flush enough on Golov I can see him going down. Would I pick Jacobs to beat GGG? No I would not but I would not be shocked if Jacobs caught him either. WaRd and Mayweather are too elusive and skilled for GGG to compete with imo. He loses to an elite pure boxer but he is good enough that he beats literally everybody else.
GGG would ice Floyd inside six rounds, probably inside three.

I'd give Jacobs a better chance than Quillin. The one punch KO loss Jacobs incurred still has me concerned and while I have nothing against GGG, I would be pulling for Jacobs. He has paid his dues in the ring and in life. He has been humbled. GGG will be some day too. Not saying GGG is not a good guy but everyone has to face loss at some point.

I think HBO can afford to let their guys have one or two bouts on PBC, it could be beneficial in the long run. Maybe they could make a trade-off: Jacobs fights GGG on PBC, while Quillin fights Lemieux/Canelo on HBO; Kov fights Alvarez on PBC, while Chilemba fights Stevenson on HBO. I'm for whatever decision leads to certain fights being made.
HBO's position is that they are the PREMIER place for championship boxing, they're not going to do anything to legitimize PBC, even if it would possibly make GGG a bigger name. Sucks for fans but I don't see either side budging on these things as it relates to fighters w/ exclusive network contracts.

genuine fans of the sport recognize that golovkin is fallable.

the rub with golovkin is that his power, chin, and technical ability on offense make up for that. yes, he can be hit. he still walks dudes down with one of hte best jabs in teh sport, and beats the f#CKing piss out of them.

floyd mayweather ouwld never fight a middleweight. if he did fight golovkin, he'd get stopped. ward would beat golovkin, and probably without a ton of fuss.

Good question.... GGG, Kovalev, Canelo and Pacquiao for sure. Then I think there's a few fighters where HBO has the right to match any offer from another network or choose to pass. That's what happened w/ Provo-Matthysse. Showtime made them an offer and HBO matched.

Remember Dmitry Pirog? That was a bad ass KO though, did that left right shift.

1 or 2 more bouts for Danny and he can try his hand at the absolute beast that is GGG.
