Jacobs/GGG on prime-time NBC at the Barclays/MSG, that could headline its own card if both guys keep winning. Maybe this could lead to Quillin/GGG if all goes well.
Someone needs to take a stand, either a fighter and his manager to say they will not sign any exclusive contract unless it includes an exception for fights that go to purse bid or a sanctioning body to say that they will not sanction any title fights if a fighter has an exclusive contract to only fight on one network or one organized group such as PBC. There must be a way to prevent these ridiculous situations where a fighter cannot accept a title fight because it is on the wrong network.

I doubt Jacobs will ever be ready for a Golovkin fight.

golovkin would reduce the length of poor jacobs' career.

danny is one of the only dudes i'll give a pass to for being a protected haymon fighter. dude had freaking cancer in his spine. his spine. he couldn't walk several years ago.

i don't want this fight. it would be an OK match on paper, in spite of golovkin being a heavy fave. i still don't want to see it.

GGG is a beast but is being given too much credit. Check my post history, I've had nothing but praise for him for pas few years literally, I love him as a fighter. But this whole invincible thing is a little outlandish. It's only a matter of time until GGG fights someone with enough skill to box his ears off or enough power to take advantage of the fact that GGGS defence has holes and he is there to be hit. Jacobs is a big hand. If he lands flush enough on Golov I can see him going down. Would I pick Jacobs to beat GGG? No I would not but I would not be shocked if Jacobs caught him either. WaRd and Mayweather are too elusive and skilled for GGG to compete with imo. He loses to an elite pure boxer but he is good enough that he beats literally everybody else.

Some of this talk is silly about purse bids forcing guys to fight on PBC, and that it's BS that Kov/GGG wouldn't ever fight there. Like PBC/Haymon guys aren't exclusive to Haymon's tit? FFS Quillin dropped a belt and triple his career payday because Haymon lost a bid to Roc Nation. You think Haymon is going to have his main guys fight on HBO? It's a 2 way street fellas. S##t just read Haymon's contract - "Fighter cannot take fight without permission from the Adviser."

I understand that, but I see HBO budging before Haymon. Haymon has way too much invested right now in PBC to showcase his roster on HBO/Showtime. I think HBO can afford to let their guys have one or two bouts on PBC, it could be beneficial in the long run. Maybe they could make a trade-off: Jacobs fights GGG on PBC, while Quillin fights Lemieux/Canelo on HBO; Kov fights Alvarez on PBC, while Chilemba fights Stevenson on HBO. I'm for whatever decision leads to certain fights being made.
