Comments Thread For: Danny Jacobs: I Would Love To Fight Gennady Golovkin

WBA/IBO/WBC interim-middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin has had difficulty getting the top names in the middleweight division in the ring with him.

Many fans and insiders alike have called Golovkin the most feared man in boxing. There isn't exactly a long list of fighters who have expressed a desire to face him. WBA "regular" champion Danny Jacobs (29-1, 26KOs) is one of the few who have said that they would love to face the division's boogeyman.

Guess this would be one of those legacy defining unification fights GGG's fanb1tches love yap'n about. He's going after the ESPN belt in his next fight. Why not go after the cancer patient title after that? Then he can move up and fight Anthony Dirrell for the cancer patient title at 68.

This site is full of ****. Dudes come out and say they want to fight dudes and the posters talk ****. Dudes say nothing and posters talk ****. Can't have it both ways guys.

That would be a tough fight for you Jacobs but at least you're making an effort to acknowledge and express interest in the fight.

Jacobs "I'll fight anybody out there....that Al Haymon tells me to fight."

Saw other places speculate that Haymon should push for a purse bid for a WBA unification between GGG and Jacobs to force K2 to fight on PBC or drop the belt

Jacobs recently said that he's a couple (or a few, can't remember) fights away from being ready for Golovkin. So while he may have interest in fighting Golovkin, it's another one of these "oh but sometime down the line." No one's going to prepare you for him. So while I admire him for saying he would love to fight GGG, for now, I wouldn't read too much into it.

Not a terrible fight, but I doubt it can happen.

I can't see Jacobs giving GGG any trouble. Danny better be careful. GGG doesn't strike me as the kind of dude that wont show up to fight.
