Comments Thread For: SHO's Bernstein: I Hope No Mayweather vs. Pacquiao II

Al Bernstein, analyst for Showtime Championship Boxing, is of the opinion that Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao should go in their separate directions. Bernstein, along with HBO's Jim Lampley, were the main two figures calling the pay-per-view broadcast that saw rival networks come together. The pay-per-view is now on track to potentially break the 5 million buyrate mark.

After Mayweather's twelve round decision win at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Pacquiao revealed that he entered the contest with a right shoulder injury and has since had surgery to correct the injury. Pacquiao will be out of action until next year.

Thank God some people feel the same way as normal people do, and if they do decide to do a rematch they better not charge a single penny for it.

Lampey and Kellerman said the same on Kellermans radio show. But they also said they expect it'll be Mayweathers 50th fight late next year.

Yea, I know Im no fan of either fighter but, I do love the sport of boxing so much that I've bought many of these fighters fights over the years from (may-gotti to pac-morales). I can now say that I wont buy another Mayweather fight because it's just not worth the money anymore. He's a great fighter but, he will do just enough to sell the fight and leave u wanting more. Pac on the other hand might never be the same after his surgery, so part two would be pointless. May is just simply better !

Bernstein never seemed to want even Mayweather/Pacquiao 1. he's so far up Thurman's ass he can't think of anything else.

Only Pac Turds want a rematch. They can't accept the fact their hero was nothing but a C class fighter against Floyd. Same way how they want a fifth Marquez fight. They just want their hero to redeem himself. Both Marquez and Floyd should retire and leave Pac Turds heartbroken.

Beating Pacquiao was Floyd's easiest win in years. A rematch will only happen for the easy money, we all know who's the superior boxer already.

Thats probably what contributed to Floyds lopsided win. Those fools obsessing over the two Maidana fights. Chino is slower than Manny but way more skilled and physically stronger.

                  His legs shot doe.. smh

I feel the exact same way. Although, I probably will buy May's next PPV if it is gonna be his last fight.
