Yeah but from the beginning you only care about your bottom line(as you should I guess), but in the same sense the consumer is not supposed to give a **** about that, he is a paying for a product and he is only supposed to care about his bottom line which is to be entertained. He is not talking about what fighters should do(he argues that Mayweather boxes that way because it works for him and no one is stopping him), he argues that scoring needs to be revamped so that boxing becomes a product worth buying again. Something everyone here should understand if not necessarily agree with, is that it is much easier to relate to fighting than boxing.
And everyone starts out as a casual fan, good fights grow interest in the sport and turn casual fans into hardcore fans. Yeah it's annoying to hear casuals talk about boxing, but I used to do the same in the middle school when Oscar fought Mayweather, so I understand.
