Again, yahoo sports, sports illustrated and guardian newspaper in the uk all scored the fight 7-5 Floyd

That's a one round discrepancy from 6-6 in a fight with many close rounds

So for someone to say 6-6 score is no way possible has no clue what they are on about

I had Floyd winning, I'm not dis*****g that at all. I've consistently questioned Compubox's accuracy on NSB over many years. This isn't about who won the fight, it's about Compubox in general. Obviously a fight of this magnitude magnifies their inaccuracies even further.

Lederman, Kellerman, Lampley. Pacquiao's 3 amigos that work for the broadcaster Pacquiao is signed with all had him winning no more than 3. The majority of people had Mayweather winning easy. The majority of fighters that gave their opinion had Mayweather winning easy. You select the few that didn't as some kind of proof it was close? GTFO

He's talking purely about punch stats, not other boxing scoring criteria. Scoring rounds is about more than punches landed, I wish it wasn't but it is.

I'm not saying he's right or wrong, but pick a round and compare your stats with daggum's.

Nice work daggum. Very interesting. I suggest doing the same exercise for another close fight where you cannot be accused of bias towards any of the boxers.

I think this thread is mainly about compubox, hence the title.

I never thought Compubox was accurate, but it's the closest measure of punches thrown and landed we have.

                    Only measure...

The judges make peanuts. Think what these compubox "technicians" make to press buttons. And who verifies their work?

The 9th round really was a toss up if i had to lean i would probably give it to pac for simply landing the harder punches. An even round is also fine and giving it to floyd isn't wrong at all. So my card would be either 7-5 pac, 6-5-1 even pac or a draw 6-6.

my reasoning: round 3 a lot of people seem to give to floyd but I can't see why. pac outlanded him in total punches, power punches, and had the best punch of the round. round 6 floyd actually outlanded pac 15-14 but most of floyd's punches were jabs while all of pacs were power to the head and body and he also had floyd wobbled. A clear example of a round where quality over quantity trumps. Round 8 was also an example of quality over quantity as floyd outlanded pac 11-9 but pac stunned him with 3 great flush punches. floyd's power punches lacked any authority or flushness in this round and pac landed the 3 best punches of the round that slightly troubled floyd so I think he deserves this round.
Hahahahah 6 rounds. Jesus Christ. You know people are butthurt when they do their own compubox to "prove" who won the fight. Give it up he's fraud of the decade

Of course compubox won't be perfect live. That's why fights aren't scored by compubox
