Typical Lampley. He may lambast Pacquiao for proceeding with the contest, but he shows no su****ion it was not genuine, or wouldn't have affected the result. Allows Lampley to continue to think the 'Real' Pacquiao would have beaten Mayweather. Just like he threw vague accusations JMM's way after Pac got iced in the 6th. Lampley wants to hold on to the illusion of the invincible Manny Pacquiao, without realising it was Manny himself that was the illusion and ever since those steroid accusations started being thrown around, Manny has looked a shell of the fighter he was previously.

Lampley needs to realise he was hoodwinked, as were the rest of the pacfans, and what you have seen in the last few years is the 'Real' Manny Pacquiao.

Yet... He did all the above without even grimacing, so someone has to call bullshit if he's claiming a "tear".
If it isn't torn, would he require surgery?

For the record, I don't buy the shoulder reasoning (at this point at least).

What is there left to get from Pacquiao?

If he thought the public would buy Mayweather-Pacquiao 2 he'd have a different story.

Lampley's just playing to the public reaction now.

Lampley is the biggest shill in the sport.
Very good post! Lampley and Merchant, and to a lesser extent, Kellerman and Roy Jones Jr., have been selling Pacquiao, even when they knew that beating Cotto, Canelo, and Miadana twice, was far more than what Pac was doing. A KO from Marquez, a fight with Rios, and a fight with Algeri? C'mon Son! Everything HBO wished for went out the window when Floyd went to that hotel room, and Koncz came out and admitted that there were no contracts, and Floyd was sincere about a Pacquiao fight! It was all down hill from there!

Lamps was on Kellerman's ESPN show yesterday and basically said this same thing.

He actually started out with, "I'm the biggest pac fan in the world..." and then preceded to spit hot fire.

Them going through with the fight and not telling anyone doesn't bother me at all. It happens in every fight and they can't cancel or postpone that event a year after all that's happened. There is just too much money involved, just rotten luck for Manny **** happens. I still have no interest in a rematch, Manny still isn't the same guy regardless of the so-called injury.

Rehab and physio only, to get it back to 100%. I got away with just a month of rest before I started lifting again, but it never fully healed and I know it'll come back with a vengeance – feeling it twinge every day.

I'm quite sure a minor tear doesn't require surgery (when I frantically checked), but a major rupture does. And obviously, there ain't no ruptures – or a tear at all – in Pacquiao's case. From the sounds of it, Haye had a much worse time with his shoulder.

one more sensible post, at last.....

i wrote in my previous post that pac should not dwell on the shoulder issue...

i could only shake my head reading about penalty and/or lawsuits here and on other news publications...

boxing is, sadly, more of a commercial endeavor.....than a sport event...

it is given all involved should earn their keeps for a living...nothing wrong with this...

but boxing is in this sad and sorry state as the $$ takes the front seat...

and most people now view boxing as entertainment...again, nothing wrong with this...

but as in entertainment or showbizz, the show must go on...no matter what...

No spin to it. It's a legit injury that he should have postponed the fight because of. No reason to make it something else.

WTF...........this guy is out of control. again. an excuse gone way bad for team pac & his fans mayweather at this point is laughing & knows 100% that manny has absolutely nothing for him in any rematch. manny will never have anything for floyd. mayweather knows this at this point.
What a joke. Do you often live in a fantasy world? You basically sound like a jr high punk running his mouth.

I think Manny deserves it, but I also think it needs to be made clear to him and all Top Rank fighters (and all fighters really) that they will let someone in management know when there's an injury. Really, Freddie should have told Arum and Arum should have postponed the fight. Fights get postponed all the time. In the past year alone I can easily come up with a dozen semi-major and major fights that happened to.

(he actually said this) do you know how ret@rded that makes him and his fanbase look? the guy is obviously out of control with the excuses...........
Or it happened the way he says it did. I'll believe him before Floydie, and BTW I did notice Floydie pulling his arm. The one outta control is Floydie. The one who made the worst decision of his life to fight anyway was Manny. He's owned up to it. He's always gonna kick himself in the rear for fighting injured. Wadda ya want, blood? Or maybe he should shoot flames out his back door?

Not called hero worship. It called being a realist. The guy had no biz fighting like that. And we Pac fans aren't pleased he did fight injured. It was a bad move from the start. Especially vs Floydie. So, other than STILL yelling about how great Floydie did winning the fight, thumping your chest, what's your point? Cuz as it stands, I've spoken with kids who have more common sense than you're exhibiting right now.

You obviously see it that way. Maybe we'll never find out, but I doubt I'm alone in wanting to see each fighter at 100% with a rematch. That isn't a stretch for any clear thinking person to see.
