Never in the history of boxing has a fighter/trainer downplayed their own chances, or let on they are carrying an injury.

There are a plethora of reasons why Freddie would hype things up. And yes, selling the fight is one. Just as Mayweather promises the fans an exciting fight each time . Floyd is the king of selling fake promises.

I think you need to listen to the full interview dude cause he really threw the book at Manny. Couldn't believe what I was hearing, not Manny's biggest fan Jim Lampley but yes he basically said Manny and his whole team is full of ****.

HBO, and that includes Lampley, got what they wanted out of Pacquiao...they managed to get the Mayweather fight, something that looked DEAD multiple times for multiple reasons.

Great point. IMO even a Alex Ariza'd Pacquiao can't beat Floyd. I'm a Pacquiao fan but I'm keeping it real. Pacquiao is just sloppy at times and is an awkward pattern fighter. Sure, it took Floyd 10 rounds to completely figure out Pacquiao but once Floyd dialed in, it was like a cat playing with its food.

Pacquiao deserves all this hate because he was dishonest. His team was unabashedly dishonest. This is why Floyd was right in saying, "If you have nothing good to say, stay silent."
