They never mentioned the injury before the fight and they took the money. So there fore all the excuses go out the window. You can't have it both ways to collect a massive paycheck and turn around to say you were injured preventing a better performance.

Thank you. He should leave the forum now for displaying this kind of ignorance.

Like I said in another thread, we should all take these kind of claims with a pinch of salt. We will all know the truth soon enough. When this incident has been taken to the court and is judged we will be given the truth as to if this injury is genuine and did indeed mess up the fight or if it is a smokescreen to save face in the aftermath of taking an L. It may even end up being a little bit of both; an injury that is being relied on too much as a reason, so to speak.
But until the case has received it's judgement by those that ultimately hold the power to do so, we should all kind of leave our own judgement till then.
You know the saying of how the truth will set you free? It rings true here. All this talk, speculation and choosing what to beleive is ****** at the end of the day because we will soon know the truth. It is THEN that talk of rematches should take flight or THEN that blaming an idiot camp should take flight.
When the real situation emerges we will then know what is going on. We deserve to know why our generations fight was a let down, regardless of who your head/heart/money was set on.Last edited by SthPaw; 05-05-2015, 04:31 PM.

My point is not the excuses from the camp but the fact that Mayweather beat a guy with what seems to be a real injury and hes supposed to get all the glory for a win that wasnt overly impressive, at least offensively. Cotto smashed Martinez and like you pointed out, Martinez acknowledged the punch is what did it, Yet cotto still gets close to zero credit from most posters on this site.
So why is it so insane to think that maybe this win for Floyd get knocked down just a bit?? due to the circumstances

Pac was getting out boxed before the injury occurred, and they should of been honest on that medical sheet, not only that... Roach just admitted to losing the fight but in the presser said they won - which one is it.
The day before the fight Roach went on and on about how great Manny was looking, best prepared he's ever been, he's going to win every round, we're prepared for anything. Then Pac looked lost the entire fight, Roach has lost all his credibility as far as I'm concerned, I've lost so much respect for these guys.
I'm so pissed off this ****ing rivalry is going to be going off for at least the next year, and even if they fought next year and Floyd won they'd all claim he was rusty, this was supposed to be put to bed last weekend.Last edited by Spacey1991; 05-05-2015, 04:46 PM.

Floyd has been the man to blame, even when it was Manny who refused blood tests, and Arum who said they needed a stadium, and even after Koncz admitted there were no contracts, Floyd was the one who was scared! This is all Manny's fault, and if he didn't mention the injury before the fight, he should've kept his mouth shut after the fight. He should've beat someone at the top level, and demanded a rematch. Manny (or Team Manny) has not been humble about this fight, and now they're paying for it...FOR REAL!
I think thats kind of short sighted. You can say hes acting sore and whatnot but an injury is an injury. anytime a fighter wins and says he was hurt, hes praised. but you arent allowed to say youre hurt if you lose? i dunno

I'd love to see the reactions if roles were reversed, everyone would ***** and say Floyd is paying doctors off to feign an injury...
