Originally posted by BIGPOPPAPUMP View PostFans waited for five long years. Last Saturday night it finally happen, as Floyd Mayweather Jr. won a twelve round unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Mayweather is looking at the month of September to stage the final fight of his pro career. With a record of 48-0 and 26KOs, a win would place Mayweather in position to break the record of heavyweight great Rocky Marciano.
Several possible names have been thrown around for Mayweather's next fight. ESPN expert analyst Teddy Atlas has two names that he doesn't want to see. Atlas has no interest in seeing Mayweather face Pacquiao again, and he has no interest in watching Mayweather fight Amir Khan.

Atlas tried to justify Golovkin at 154 by saying that great fighters should step up in weight.
LOL
1) Mayweather has already " stepped up " to 154, he is currently the lineal junior middleweight champ and WBC/WBA titlist
2) Golovkin is not ranked, or relevant, at 154
3) there is nothing to indicate that Golovkin can make that weight and be healthy
4) dropping an entire division is asanine, if you could do that and be healthy, then you would be fighting there in the first place
Golovkin should happen at 160, but that is too much for Mayweather.
There really is nobody left.
Thurman should fight Brook, the winner gets a Mayweather payday.

he was even able to bring his arm up far enough to even block a punch. He
should NEVER have been in the ring last Saturday night, Terrible injury
for a boxer.Last edited by doninlouisiana; 05-06-2015, 08:33 AM.
