  • Like Paulie Mags said, one of Mayweather's opponents could be Danny Garcia who fought
Peterson at 143. Since it wouldn't be a belt fight (who gives a crap about Garcia's Super Lightweight titles; Floyd doesn't), any weight will do.

Easy fight for Floyd, and most likely more fan friendly than Manny.

Oh and it's NOT GOING TO BE A $100ppv.....

Simply put, he would EASILY pot shot GGG all night.dodge almost all of his punches & just like Canelo his only hope is landing that "one big punch" which obviously won't happen.
Cotto and Maidana are slower than Manny yet landed more than him, so what's your point? If you honestly think it would turn out like Floyd/Canelo, you are sorely mistaken. Golovkin's jab alone would be a big enough punch to change the dynamic of the fight.

Mayweather is not a small welterweight he is a solid WW. If he was a small WW he could make 144 when he fought Marquez.....unless he needed another advantage against a guy who was already moving up 2 weight classes and why would TBE need another advantage against a lightweight????

Not really....If Marquez went up 2 weight divisions to fight Floyd why wouldn't Floyd fight him at 154 where he holds a title????

          • People need to get this match-up out of their heads, nothing about Floyd's character would make me believe that this fight is even on his mind. Since I've been watching Mayweather, there was never a match-up where I thought, "he's in trouble." GGG is that sort of match-up and that's exactly why it won't and would never happen.
