Pretty sure of those 148 landed punches at least half were the pity pat jabs they saw connect on Pacquiao while Floyd was backing away. I mean, this is what's wrong with professional boxing. 3 judges decide a fight for the guy who was backing up all night and flicking jabs. It's as if just because it is Floyd Mayweather fighting he automatically wins whenever a pitiful jab landed. It's not the damned olympics! Also, it's as if whoever fights Floyd will automatically lose a round if they get hit even if the punches don't even faze the fighter. Just look at the Maidana fights. It's ridiculous.
You can easily see Pac won it with one hand. Now that's skill.Comment

Clearly the big strategy Freddie kept going on and on about was just smarter defensive maneuvering on Pac's part. It made it a chess match. Mayweather ALWAYS will win a chess match type of fight. It wasn't a great strategy.
Also- for all the talk about legs, movement and Floyd being stationary; Floyd had better legs than Manny did on fight night.
Manny doesn't have any size to impose on Floyd, I honestly couldn't see a rematch playing out differently. Floyd is bigger and matched Manny's speed. In my opinion the debate is over. Manny needed some luck to win and it didn't happen. I think hypothetically Manny could beat Floyd maybe one out of every 10 times if they fought over and over.
I think hardcore fans saw a lot on Saturday and learned a lot. I know I did.
I love Manny, I'm a huge fan. But you have to look at these things objectively.
Floyd has successfully "broken" the game. It's similar to how they had to invent the shot clock because of Dean Smith in college basketball. It's not pretty and tons of people don't like watching it. But his style wins.Comment

Here we go with the "they both looked bad" BS lol. When the fighter you picked loses that's the ultimate excuse and rationalization.Comment
