Top 10 for sure. Based on skills top 5 for sure. Could still make top 5 with some big wins.

No I'm not. Greatest defensive fighter of all time, undefeated and never officially knocked down and hardly ever even hurt. Beat most of the greats of his era around his weight classes. A champ in 5 different weight classes. Top 5 greatest skilled fighter, possibly the best. The only thing missing is a couple more, in their prime atgs on his resume.

Just cuz he's not a good person outside of the ring doesn't mean he doesn't belong among the best inside the ring.

We can say who we liked from what we saw of each fighter, but we don't truely know enough about everyone to make an impartial list based on skill and legit resumes and so on and so fourth. . . Unless you happen to be over as 100 years old.
This. I don't even know why people talk about this stuff. Like any of you motha***as would really know...

                His resume:
                Pacquiao
                Marquez
                Canelo
                Cotto
                Mosley
                De La Hoya
                Corrales

                and the list goes on....

I don't care that some of them were not prime. To go through all those fighters and always turn up in shape, focused, never have an off night, never get caught with a punch that knocks you out...it's an incredible feat that shouldn't be downplayed.

A great fighter like Manny showed how difficult it is to go through boxing undefeated or not get flattened. Tyson went and got folded by Buster Douglas. Lennox Lewis folded by Rahman. The likes of Hagler getting beaten by Willie Monroe on the way up, or Duran losing to De Jesus, who are good but hardly top level fighters, no disrespect to them.

It just shows how difficult it is to do what Mayweather has done.

I'm not going to sit here and work out where i would place him but my examples should make you think...

Top 15 at the LEAST.. ATG have three criteria:
                  1.Wins
                  2.Resume
                  3.Skills

He is the most consistent ATG of them all. 20 years atop the sport. Greatest defensive fighter of all time. Unquestioned undisputed best of his era. Beaten the most champions in the history of the sport and done it all while STAYING UNDEFEATED.

                    top ten

Look at where all the people that you would say was greater than him were at 38 years old

Sugar Ray Robinson was losing to scrubs, Ali was losing to an 8 fight novice, Leonard got schooled by Terry Norris and ko'ed by Hector Camacho who started in the 120's

Longevity and consistency have to be accounted for.....He dominated his era like very few fighters have ever and has done it over 5 weight classes and 3 separate decades

People will say he didn't have a rival, or a great 3 fight series, but who needs that when you mastered neutralizing even your most accomplished or skilled opposition

Floyd Mayweather is one of the greatest fighters of all time.....in 48 fights....25 title fight wins....over 15+ titles defenses of 4 lineal and wins over 23 current or former champions

He is on the TRUE ALL-TIME GREATS

The dust doesn't settle until well after a fighter retires.
