Floyd proved to me at least that he is a defensive genius but a mediocre fighter. HOFer for sure based on his boxing skills but not in the same class as MW-WW greats that not only would have outboxed Manny like Floyd did but would have KO'd or TKO'd Manny like the Robinsons/Fullmers/Bassilos/Hearns/Haglers/Durans would have done.

That's the difference between an ATG and a very good boxer in his time period.

I'm not a rabid fan of either guy for similar reasons - they both picked fights with guys they knew they could beat 100% going in while ignoring challenges from fighters that provided real danger. Pacquiao with his catchweight nonsense in several fights while he ignored the loud and real challenges from a then prime Sergio Martinez who offered to meet him at 150. His avoidance of Shane Mosley until he was clearly a shell that was being constantly urged to retire.

Mayweather is even worse, only picking fighters at a size disadvantage with styles that force them to chase after him - remember how he avoided Paul Williams like the plague? Even the limited but at the time scary (and bigger) Antonio Margarito? He even avoided an unbeaten Cotto, retiring because he claimed he had no challenges left - something pointed out by an incredulous Larry Merchant at the time. He then fought him only after Cotto had been beaten up twice and looked shopworn. Guess he had become a "challenge" by then. He fought the smaller Maidana because he saw him throttled by Alexander; he took on the green Canelo Alvarez after seeing him struggle with Austin Trout; the smaller Pacquiao because he saw him get flattened by Marquez. Now he vacates all of his belts so he can avoid the threat of a rejuvenated (and bigger) Amir Khan. My prediction is he'll stay true to form and pick the badly exposed, coming up in weight, Danny Garcia for September before someone else at 147 can capitalize and beat Garcia.

Mayweather is a great overall talent but Greatest of all time over Ali and Robinson? Are you kidding me? Even Sugar Ray Leonard rates ahead of him for taking on ALL comers, even when they were at the peak of their careers. Mayweather would never have accepted a bout at 147 with an unbeaten Hearns. In fact, this is something Mayweather has NEVER done despite his fans and Stephen A. Smith being so deeply embedded up his backside you need a colonoscopy to find them.

Simply put, Mayweather outclassed Pacman. He fought his fight, took away Pacquiao's weapons, and never really let Pacman get into rhythm.

Pacquiao can still rebound if he weight drains his opponents or fights 140 pounders at welterweight.

Nothing new from Floyd this fight, just him fighting his fight. No point of a rematch, 1 dimensional fighters can't adjust anyway.

He will never reach that level of all time great fighter. Hasn't got the cajones. Its a fact! Sissy fighting all night gor points wins is not what an all time great does.....
Keep thinking about it. I am sure you will find more ways to justify your hatred gor Floyd by coming up with reasons he is not a great foghter.

It's funny to see all of these b#tt-hurt pacman fans out there. This fight wasn't even close. I always knew this fight would be easy-work for Floyd... All Pacman fans can say now is "Floyd's not an All-time-great"
