I would like to see him fight Lemieux as that has a FOTY written all over it, but again that is just another scenario of lets wait and see. Again I stess that people need to make and take the best available fight. Him fighting at a 157 or 158 catch weight or taking a fight at 168 does'nt end his ability to unify the middleweight division.

i disagree. andre ward said it best when he said "moving down is not an option". that's how fighters ruin themselves. golovkin has to settle business at middleweight before he moves up and then move up for good. dropping 2 lbs to fight a jmw is probably doable, but i think k2 can put up enough money to get someone like lara to fight at the full limit. apart from the canelo fight, lara has never earned as much as a golovkin opponent

i am assuming that before 2016 alvarez will have beaten cotto (with or without title) and fought at the full limit of 160 lbs, or very near it. he is the only fighter within middleweight limits who can get golovkin on pay-per-view (apart from cotto who won't fight him and is soon to be beaten). you're crazy if you think golovkin holds leverage over a saul alvarez coming off of beating cotto and possibly lemieux. canelo will be the marquee name that golovkin's middleweight resume so desperately needs

You change division when it is for a big money fight because you will be at a disadvantage and putting both your health and career at risk. i'll list lara and canelo on my p4p list before i list ggg..thats just how i feel about they are fight more legit competition and had a very close fight..and i'd say kirkland is 10 x's better than anyone ggg ever fought..and lara's resume is very deep ...i'm a ggg fan, but he cant make my p4p list until he leaves that bum weight class..it is nothing there do like ward and test yourself at a cw then go for it
