Monroe is a sympathetic young prospect with very good skills, however I think this is too early for him and I don't know if his power is enough to keep Golovkin at bay. He will land at will with his jabs because Golovkin has a garbage defense but I think sooner or later the Kazakh will catch him with something big.

"Garbage Defense"? A bit harsh for a guy with his talent. I believe Golovkin's
defense is much better than that, and IMO has improved with each fight.

Completely agree, but Murray is more big and tough. Monroe can't take so much.

I think Monroe's downfall will be GGG's brutal body work which will slow

If he was going all the way down to 154 I would agree. 157 or 158 is'nt going to ruin him. That is 1 or 2lbs less than he has weighed in for his last two fights and he looked great.

Middleweight is from 154.1 to 160. There is no reason for any catchweight. If a fighter only weighs in at 157 or 158, then them's the breaks. It's still a legitimate MW division weight and not a reason to expect your opponent to match you. If he comes in at 159 or 160, that's life. Suck it up and get on with the fight.

Sorry but I have nothing to back up here, I wasn't diss Golovkin I just simply said what I saw and what I think everyone saw who have eye(s). He has trust in his chin because it looks like it's strong but he literally defended shots with his head against Murray all night and if you look at how he KO's Geale that was also a situation when Geale caught him square I mean it was a clean blow to the head but Golovkin instead of bothering with defense punched a more powerful and KOd Geale. Some fighters' defense is his offense, Golovkin is that type, he outguns his opponents and with his power he keep them shook. Murray was pretty game though... You can look up you punch stats but they only prove what I said namely that Golovkin outguns his opponents and make them gunshy they just want to survive, it's not surprising but this won't make Golovkin's actual defense good. If he will meet (and I think he will at some point) an opponent who won't be fuzzed by only his offense and will counter him at will, then it will be too late to change for Golovkin. Look at Pac, his offense was basically his defense, he swarmed many guys but there was a Marquez who always gave him problems.

I think you need to have your eyes checked. GGG outpunches his opponents by a minimum of two to one in every fight. He also gets his less than any other fighter in the sport other than Mayweather. The stars are out there if you would only bother to look them up. Inventing your own and providing nothing to back up your claims makes you look like an ass.
