I think Ward's just dangling the cherry of a move to 175 to excuse the Smith fight being at 172 because he doesn't want to stress himself making 168 yet.

Everything he has said recently has indicated he does not want a move up, moreover everything he has said about Kovalev has pointed towards him not being interested in the fight.

Ward doesn't want to put his last remaining title at risk. He should be stripped so that a legitimate champion can hold that title.

That's a popular misbelief and excuse mong Ward haters. He didn't do anything with "sad chad" other than he beat his ass. Dawson wanted to go 168, what the fuck Ward should have do? Tell him that: "Nah, bro, I don't want to fight with you in my natural weight class even if you want so, I want to make thing more uncomfortable for me, let's fight at 172."?
              Sit you ignorant ass please.

I think if Ward moves up to light heavyweight he can beat Kovalev, not sure against Beterbiev, he puts constantly pressure and may not allow Ward to punch him. Kovalev is more like an out-fighter and Ward can deal with it.

Sounds like Ward is moving up sooner rather than later. Golovkin is afraid. His fans are too. They want to push Ward to 175, but don't demand the same from Golovkin. Golovkin exemplifies a hype job. They realize that if he stepped in the ring with Ward, that train loses all its steam (think Donaire-Rigondeaux).

Froch is an inferior coward. But at least he knows that deep inside of himself. Froch yaps to the media, but behind the scenes he is gutless. The only way he steps in the ring with Ward again is if a lynch mob forces it. Froch is satisfied with the perception that he's better than Ward because he beat Groves twice.
