  • Comments Thread For: Jennings Concerned About Klitschko's Constant Holding

NEW YORK – Bryant Jennings is more concerned about Wladimir Klitschko’s holding habit than the huge heavyweight champion’s vaunted right hand.

Jennings’ promoter, Gary Shaw, expressed their trepidation to David Berlin, executive director of the New York State Athletic Commission. Berlin assured Shaw that the yet-to-be-announced referee assigned to their 12-round fight for Klitschko’s IBF/WBA/WBO titles will discuss excessive holding with Klitschko (63-3, 53 KOs) before they enter the ring Saturday night at Madison Square Garden (HBO; 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT).

You should be more worried about Klitschko's right hand punching you in the face.

      Cry me a river Jennings

If he wants to hold, why don't you use your excellent lateral movement our your devastating uppercut to just get his glass chin outta there?

"I don't think a crowd in New York, at MSG, is going to be tolerant of someone who is just going to lean and hold and try to win the fight that way."
That's true, and rightfully they should boo him out of the building if he tries to pull off any bullshit like he did to Povetkin. The burden is on Wladimir to put on a good show for the fans, at this crucial stage of the HW division being on the verge of regaining its popularity... or else be exiled from the US again.

And I'm saying that as a longtime supporter of his.

oyu know what's been looking pretty good lately?

klitschko's left hook. they've realized that people worry about the jab.

paw the jab, throw the right hand away, and worry about putting the steam on the left hook.

i think that's how he hurts and finishes jennings.

i'll echo the sentiments of others:
you've got more important things to worry about, brian. first is the 6'6" 250 lb guy nailing you with those big handed jabs from half way across the ring. next is the biggest right hand in boxing. then it's the left hook, which can end fights.

then you've got to worry about getting held. your feet are fast enough that it shouldnt be a huge issue.

wilder's got at least 3" on haye. that's like, an additional half peter.

Klitschko holding you should be the least of your concerns. You should worry about him busting up your face with his jab and over hand right.
