I hope it's just ignorance, because at least he could learn if he's simply ignorant.

This doesn't look good, regardless of whether you think he was being racist or not. As someone living in Europe and having been to Moscow, Russia is known to be one of the most Racist countries in the world by far. I don't know much about the region Kovalev is from but this isn't the first time he has said something racist either, so I think I am leaning towards the side that thinks he knows what he was doing, the thing is Russia is so far behind in terms of actually educating and dealing with racism that they are politically incorrect and ignorant towards it as well, so I am sure that is a part of it.

Glad sergey apologized shows that he realized he made a mistake. Now If only Hopkins,Mayweather, and Broner could apologize for their comments but we know they won't cause there is a double standard!

Still trying to figure out why you dumbasses are still bringing up Floyd Mayweather as if you have some kind of an argument. You don't want to deal with the issue, so again, you deflect. What about x? What about z? Why are black people offended? Shut the hell up.

And the fact that WHATEVER the topic you guys bring up Floyd let's me know just what I'm dealing with. I mean, we have posters in here who's very first post in thread about a fighter from Russia apologizing for his comments ask about Floyd Mayweather. Clowns.

And I would link to where Floyd apologized for the dumb **** he said, but I ain't going to waste my time but then you nerds want to say that someone else being selective. FOH.

Just poking fun at Stevenson. Either he himself or someone else pointed out to him people may be offended since Stevenson is black and there is a history obviously in the US of racism against blacks and he deleted tweet, apologized. Kovalev is from Russia. They don't have the same history of racism of blacks as the US. They never had slavery. There is no word for "******" or anything like that. A harmless joke in Russia culture (saying someone looks like a monkey) doesn't have the same racial implications as in the US of calling a black man a monkey. That isn't to say there isn't racism in Russia, of course there is especially since the fall of the Soviet Union and emergence of Right Wing groups. But Kovalev has a black trainer, black friends and looks to me as if he was simply ignorant on his diss of Adonis. I wouldn't take it any more than that.
Nah. And I did get worked up about. And that's really the end of it. I'm not going to keep going back and forth with folks about why I should or shouldn't have either.

Blacks will cry racism till the day they die. Its just the way they are raised. Black ppl are raised with the mentality that they were once ****** to the white ppl so they shouldnt/cant forgive and forget. Thats why most african american posters here only root and support blacks because is a race war for them. not a sport.
