Kovalev apologizes for tweet.

no, you're missing the point of my comment, it had nothing to do w/ the apology itself, it's just that certain posters here and certain channels on youtube are crying about kovalev being racist, but didn't give two ****ing ****s about floyd, bhop or taylor's racist commentsSo kovalev should or shouldn't apologize, because Floyd or Hopkins did or didn't?
He did something to offend one person, and ended up offending a bunch of others, by mistake, if you believe him, so he did what a stand-up guy does, and he apologized. Accept, or not, and move on.
Now if he's a racist prick, and/or just doesn't give a ***, then he shouldn't apologize....
it's a victim agenda that backfired when someone like myself points out the inconsistency in their argument

Hopefully you didn't get too worked up over it. Didn't seem like he had any racism intended behind it, not much different than the millions of these:And this is another thing that pisses me off. Just because it doesn't bother YOU don't mean that other folks shouldn't get "worked up". I live in a racist state, city and deal with racists frequently, a lot of which is online. It pisses me off to be called a monkey/****** and see other black folk called monkeys/******s and then we're told to " get over it". To hell with that nonsense. I don't operate in such a manner.
And you want to talk about "trivial"?
Please.

Just poking fun at Stevenson. Either he himself or someone else pointed out to him people may be offended since Stevenson is black and there is a history obviously in the US of racism against blacks and he deleted tweet, apologized. Kovalev is from Russia. They don't have the same history of racism of blacks as the US. They never had slavery. There is no word for "******" or anything like that. A harmless joke in Russia culture (saying someone looks like a monkey) doesn't have the same racial implications as in the US of calling a black man a monkey. That isn't to say there isn't racism in Russia, of course there is especially since the fall of the Soviet Union and emergence of Right Wing groups. But Kovalev has a black trainer, black friends and looks to me as if he was simply ignorant on his diss of Adonis. I wouldn't take it any more than that.Comment
