Seriously? Corrales came in at 146 unoffically for that fight and fought at 130 3 years later against Cassamayor, twice. I don't see how he would be weight drained against Floyd but somehow manage to split two fights with Cassamayor three years later at the same weight class which he weighed in at 128 1/2lbs in the first fight. Not sure what he fought at in between those two fights.

not floyd's fault for what was wrong with chico.

chico was a beast at 130 and floyd took him on and whooped him.

ppl talk crap about arum but floyd with top rank dodged no one. arum even tried to make floyd-marg at 147 and floyd-cotto at 140.
Definitely. I was a huge Corrales fan and only rooted against him that one time against Mayweather who I had been following since the Olympics. We didn't have internet forums now but Corrales was a monster and would have been SUPER hyped on here if NSB existed. Especially after he walked through Robert Garcia the way he did. Hindsight is a ***** but if you were alive and following boxing back then you can feel what I'm saying.

Pretty Boy Floyd had a lot of tough fights coming up but the problem was Arum just couldn't sell him to the public. The money wasn't adding up to the success in the ring. Unfortunately there are a lot of fights that I would have loved to see that never happened (Margarito, prime Cotto, Paul Williams, prime Pac, etc.) for whatever reason.

If he ran through a resume with those names the gap in this discussion between him and Ali would be much closer.

my opinion is usually good. who was better than chico?

cotto-floyd at 140. floyd wanted it. cotto didn't. arum not sure.

cotto-floyd at 147 is a whole other thing.

chico was like 33-0 with like 27 ko's or some shiet.

fool was a 130 lb thomas hearns. 5'11/6'0 foot at 130. monster ko power and yet had boxing skill.

people don't realize chico WAS RANKED HIGHER THAN FLOYD in the division AND P4P.

          that was floyd's finest hour.

****** floyd fans don't talk about chico win enough. if pac beat that chico, i would bring it up in every god damn pac thread.

Yep, I remember watching thinking Floyd was going to have a tough time. Then he started dropping him with that laser right hand and it was a wrap. After that fight I started thinking Floyd's was something special.

The "not ******" Floyd fans talk about it often. Thing is, those that oppose cry and moan about how weight drained Chico was and how he wasn't focused on the fight. Which is hilarious considering he stayed at 130 after he was so drained against Floyd.

That's a really good win for Floyd. And honestly, I doubt many folks even seen that fight.

Ali has a GREAT resume. He beat some seriously great fighters.

But he also LOST to some fighters. And in many smart people's opinion, he probably lost more fights than the judges said.

Floyd beat some great fighters including ODH, Mosely, Hatton. He will beat Pacquaio, possibly twice in my view..

THAT will be a great resume.
past prime, old, not a good welterweight, past prime to shot.

No floyds resume would be filled with out of prime and weight drained fighter. come on now man.

                  poll added.
