Margarito is not an A fighter either though so losing to him is also a pretty big issue, not terrible but without other big wins you see the clear limit in him.

Pretty good always like 2nd or 3rd in a division, not a real champion though because when was he ever really number 1.
    a- is generous.

    b imo.

    a vs. scrubs, gatekeepers
    c vs. elites, great fighters
b vs. other good but not great fighters. he'll be competitive even win but he'll struggle a lot

Floyds best wins over good prime opponents are Corrales and Castillo who are both hardly locks for HOF. Castillo might make it, Corrales doesnt deserve to be HOF imo.

Genaro Hernandez was definitely not in his prime when Floyd fought him but still a good win i guess.

Mannys wins over Morales, Marquez, and Barrera were when they were at least close to their primes. Oscar, Mosley, and Cotto were absolutely not for either of them.

The difference is those three are clear HOF/ATGs.

Floyds greatness is based on his longitivity and consistency over solid fighters but none over great fighters in their prime. This is obvious to anybody that has followed his career.
Corrales may not be HoF caliber when you put his whole career on display, but when Floyd fought him he was an absolute killer and got destroyed by Floyd. Look I get people think Mayweather's resume is'nt what some make it out to be, but give the man his due where he deserves it.

No bias, Floyd's resume is straight up above average within the context of mentioning him amongst the GOATs. In a overall sense, yeah, its a good resume, but if you're trying to convince someone that he's the GOAT, the person you're trying to convince would just ask, "OK, who the **** did he beat for me to believe he's a greater fighter than Ali, SRR, Hearns, Duran, SRL, Hagler, B Hop, etc."

He hasn't faced a guy that was supposed to really test him. The guys ducked every single guy that could have beaten him.

his biggest challenge was a former flyweight who is at a REACH/HEIGHT/SIZE and most importantly STYLE MATCHUP DISADVANTAGE.

heavy favorite and he still waited 5-6 yrs to take him on.

Dude. You say he was drained. But after the fight, hes stayed at 130 and won a world title over Casamayor, 3 years later. Dude, he won a world title at 130, the same weight he fought Floyd at, 3 years later.

Y'all have got to do better than this man.

corrales was floyd's best win imo.

not floyd's fault for what was wrong with chico.

chico was a beast at 130 and floyd took him on and whooped him.

ppl talk crap about arum but floyd with top rank dodged no one. arum even tried to make floyd-marg at 147 and floyd-cotto at 140.

                      Speaks for itself ..............

I don't think the Arum tried to make Floyd-Cotto is correct, as have been demonstrated several times in past posts\threads.
