    I suppose...

It's just his last fight was a "tune-up" sort of fight that he made 2 million for.

I just want to see the guy start trying to make competitive fights - and the competition awaits at 175.

Wow... Paul Smith? Really? He's not even a top domestic fighter at his weight class?

This guy truly is a joke. A clown.

Grow some balls and call out guys at 175. Hahah can you imagine Ward ever fighting Beterbiev? I can't either... Can't even see him fighting Fonfara.
cant fault this tbh, ward is a *****

Well to be fair, Chavez and Haymon didn't know Fonfara was Top 5 until last Saturday night...
Same thing Broner and Haymon thought about Maidana when they tried to cherry pick him.

I'm not depending Ward, he needs a live opponent, and enough with the tune ups.

So Ward should fight any one of those 5 MIDDLEWEIGHTS for his tune up fight? 5 guys that Ward fans routinely criticize for being on GGG's resume as nothing but bums? But they are great choices for Ward to fight? Ward, a SMW?????

            OK, sure. Whatever you say.

And he got his ass kicked and quit on his stool. Which is why you shouldn't fight a top 5 LHW after a year layoff.

Ward taking a Warmup is not a problem because when Ward was active he was fight all of the Top Fighters in his Division
Edwin Rodriguez= top fighter!!! Right........ Great post by the way.

                  triple bum

17 months out of the ring and triple bum still will not fight SOG.

Ward is a boxer with close to ZERO power. His game is to box. Why does he then fight i guy who was completely outboxed by an old Arthur Abraham who Ward himself completely outboxed 4 years ago? Smith doesn't have serious power so what chance does he have in this fight? NONE. Horrible fight, I expected alot more..

                    Better fights IMO:
                    - Sturm
                    - Anthony Dirrell
                    - Andre Dirrell
                    - Froch rematch
                    - Kessler rematch
                    - Abraham rematch
                    - Kovalev
                    - Stevenson
                    - Degale
                    - Groves (compare with Froch)
                    - Fonfara
                    - Brahemer
                    - Oosthouizen

The Dirrells are busy and Ward has already stated he will never fight them so people should stop bringing them up. It ain't gonna happen.
Kessler is long retired. Let him enjoy it. He isn't coming back and would need a year to get back in fight condition and a couple of tune ups.
Forget any fight associated with Haymon and anyone at 175, that alone eliminates most of your list.
Degale already has a fight lined up and Groves is waiting for his mandatory WBC title shot.

How about Ramirez? He's rated number 7 by RING and could bring in some Mexican fans as well.
