Idk bro, Tim Bradley fought at JMW in the Ams and made 140 for a long time and Ward did fight as low as 164. Hell, Chavez Jr @ 6'2" was making 160. Starting at 160 wouldve gave him power and size over his opponents. Fighting at 168 he had to rely on skill which NSB posters dont appreciate.

      Ward Career>Chavez Jr Career!

One guy still need to prove himself while the other guy already proved himself and while he been gone nobody in his division has emerged as a REAL THREAT in his Division at 168

Ward taking a Warmup is not a problem because when Ward was active he was fight all of the Top Fighters in his Division

Thirdly, the lawsuits he took up to get out of his promotional contract were frivalous and shouldve been given better advice before taking them.

And then you want to talk about Ward getting 2million for fighting Rodriguez. Your boy Chavez got 4.2 for a fight he was supposed to win.
USA doesn't care about olympic ogld medalists in boxing very much.

His manager/peoples signed with the promotional company who made the best offer.

As stated earlier - he is way too big to make 160 - he fought at 178 as an ammy (LHW). He hasn't made anything close to 160 since around 2001. Check yourself before you make comments like that - or this happens.

Arum would never have been able to get him the money Chavez is getting - never. His style is horrendously boring.

I'm sure everyone else here will agree - Andre Ward had an excellent team handlng his career to get him the money he's got (and getting now).

Chavez Jr. is not 6'2''. He's rght around 6' even. Lee is 6'2'' who was clearly taller; Fonfara is 6'2'' and some change, and stood much taller.

Chavez was also busted with diuretics to help make weight. There's also been su****ion surrounding other urine tests (he likely used diuretics every time to make weight - just got caught once.)

Ward ain't making 160 - if he could have fought there - he would have.

Uhhh.......Chavez LOST. That's why you don't fight a top 5 LHW after a year layoff. It's called a dumb decision.

He will have 17 months without a fight. He could fight Ishida or Macklin, even Stevens or Rubio, Geale and it would still be fine for his first fight back. He is not even top 10 smw or top 10 P4P so I don't know what the big deal is. He has to start from scratch, he has nothing right now, just a title barely.
