Not sure why HBO and Showtime would go head to head like this. If you're gonna do the same date could you possibly make it so the channels don't show events at the same time? Have one channel start at 8pm and the other at 10pm.
If they were smart they'd agree to things like this in the future. Everyone wins.
Why is this a surprise? HBO has always had the bigger boxing fanfare of subscribers and just more in general.
But overall hbo had anything but good ratings so far.
Its a surprise since neither Lucas nor Prov brings a fan base. Chavez does as proven by his HBO numbers, so very poor numbers for him. HBO near doubled his peak and average numbers
