Every fighter needs to feel he's the best, this sport is as much mental as it is physical. SRL said something similar recently (although more eloquently and in better taste), how he would look in the mirror and feel he could beat any boxer. If he had any doubt in his mind (like in the first Duran fight), he'd go out and lose.

Floyd is in the conversation for one of the p4p greatest defensive fighters ONLY. Ali bared his soul in that ring; had principles and honour. Duels with Frasier, Foreman will stand the test of time. Don't think anybody will be talking about PBF and his safety first/nick a decision approach in 50 years. Floyd wouldn't have stood a chance with Hearns at WW. Leonard couldn't get to Hearns until the 11th round and used power punching and aggression to beat him. Floyd is a great fighter, but not as great as he says and he knows it.
