What? No 25+ pound weight advantage. This is boxing, "skills pay the bills". Chavez Jr has been average at best his entire career, and that was with everything stacked in his favor. There goes Stevenson's get out of jail free card, maybe GYM thinks about negotiating now.Comment

You did it...you went full ******. Let the fact that Chavez Jr is average sink in, than come back tomorrow. No need to divert Chavez Jr's shortcomings and put them on GGG.Bittchle G didnt want to fight chavez...bittchle G wont know how to react to being the smaller man takin big shots..that footmovement will go very fast..constant pressure breaks fighters like him..even ward would beat him on the inside and hurt him HE KNOWS IT
I'D TAKE FONFARA OVER BITTCHLE G TODAY
P.S. Kind of funny but insert Chavez Jr instead of GGG and your post fits exactly what happened tonight. JCC Jr didn't know how to be the smaller man, didn't know how to react to constant pressure, and was getting hurt on the inside.Comment

Didn't think Jr would get stopped to be honest. AND didn't think Fonfara would be THAT active... judging by his last 2 fights, vs Stevenson then (especially) vs DouDou. Seemed like in those 2 fights back-to-back, he had lost his ability to pull the trigger. No problems with that tonight. If he does that vs Stevenson, then the fight to watch will be Kovalev/Fonfara, NOT Kov/Stevenson.
As for Jr, I did wonder if he'd take his power up the ladder. Looks like he didn't. Maybe a run at SMW is best for him. At least he could make weight easier, and still have decent power. I don't think this loss is the end for the guy. Not a top tier fighter obviously, but he'd probably do well at a level just below it.Comment

... So happy that Jr. ("the duck", who run away from the GGG fight) and his genius handler (aka "great Al) took such a hard blow while they were trying to cheat the noble art of boxing!
... Great night for the Sport!!!
(No place for Jr. at the LHW; he has to quit Al and work hard in order to re-establish himself at 168 -- provided that he sidewalks the likes of Ward and Froch)...

And only now you realise how ****** Jr. is? Without Chavez Sr., Jr. was never to become a boxer of some sort...Comment
