I never thought of him as a good guy so I don't disagree with you...Just that there is no such thing as "Black face" or equivalent in Eastern Europe (Blacks barely even exist in Eastern European countries)...The racist dehumanization of Blacks being "Monkeys" comes from Western Europeans during the colonial period...So he may have just thought it was a harmless joke....but yea after living in America for awhile you think he would have gotten the message....

I disagree, mainly just because I see how racist russian soccer fans are towards black players. Even ones on their local futbol club. This has been a problem for many years and is not getting any better which is why I disagree that this isn't a problem in Slavic countries. Europe is very segregated, because of this they've been able to hide this issue but with a more globalized world you're seeing this problem more and more.

No one is racist by the "Media's" definition of the term (you hate ever single Black/Asian/Latino person you encounter)....Even the Grand Wizard of the Klan probably had 1 or 2 Black people that he liked or thought was okay....same goes for those SAE Fratboys....A more accurate realistic definition would be that you just have a general negative opinion of any given race (Black, Asian, Latino whatever) even if you have a handful of friends/acquaintances that you like from that race...

I could see how Kovalev (and Hopkins) would fall under that term...I'm sure some other fighters (MMA and Boxing) would to, they just won't admit it....
