Cotto is wanting a catch weight to protect him self from exactly that.
total bs. A catch weight is designed to dry a guy out in training camp in order to weaken him during the fight. If being 175 on fight night is what Cotto was worried about, then he would have a rehydration limit, not a catch weight.

It is no shortcuts to the top! Build up your own following, fanbase and make YOURSELF a Draw...Stop trying to piggyback off of guys who put in the work and the years to make themselves Prize Fighters

Cotto worked his ass off to get to this point in his career to the point in which he really don't need anybody to make money. He can fight somebody off this forum and sell out Barclay or MSG. He really don't have to fight GGG or Canelo because neither bring anything to the table for Cotto

famous for beating cripples? Yes he lost to trout, styles makes fights and cotto lost cuz he was trying to box trout. You can thank pedro diaz for that. Destroyed by a flyweight (when pac was 15 right? smh) who is also questionable for ped use. Yup he's fighting geale, someone who I didn't have interest in cotto fighting. I would rather have had him fight Heiland or Johnson for the voluntary. Also, cotto only took a knee when getting hit with plasters from margacheato. Again, you sound proud of that.

Let's call a spade a spade. GGG "brings to the table" deserving opponent. Mandatory even. And quite possibly - the end of a career. Of course, Cotto and his fans do not want it. But don't try to pass this as something respectable. You look like an eel on a frying pan.

I believe a gif of sergio martinez running for 2 seconds negates any argument that he had bad knees. Duh.

Yes because a 3 second clip from a fight that went 9 rounds tells the entire story.

I fail to understand how people seem to get some sort of personal validation by counting another mans money. Great, Cotto is a multi millionaire. Good for him. How does that benefit your life in any way?

It doesn't. Much like being a failed promoter, did nothing for your finances. I don't watch Cotto fights to enrich my bank account. In fact, it often depletes my bank account by $59.00 USD. Stay mad because I hold a PHd in flag politics and expose the hypocrisy daily.

The support/bias you described above, is NOT limited to Cotto. You will find defenders of plaster wraps, catchweights, fear of needles, journeyman killa resumes, fishnets, *****s, piss drinking, Memo Heredia champs, 6 year ducking sprees etc etc
