Show us then. Show us the GLARING difference in Sergio's legs in other fights. You can't because there isn't much. Martinez is trying to retire with his hyped up legacy intact by creating the impression that he lost to little Cotto because his knee was sore. Long live the King of the Journeymen!

The clip of Sergio darting across the ring, clashing knees with Cotto, does NOTHING for the fanboy propaganda "his knee doe."

    His CHIN doe.

      Like a boss...

When Cotto knocked him down, he got up shaking his head trying to rid the cobwebs. He did NOT grimace and hold his "knee doe."

Sergio understood early that night that Cotto was NOT Chavez Jr.

Levels will bug a dude out real quick.

his meniscus is completely torn now as opposed to the chavez and murray fights where it was only partially torn. truth hurts but he was done. it was a scam.

Well no **** he wouldn't. That's like saying if someone had a broken arm and got shot in the leg, they wouldn't immediately react to the injury that just happened. I don't care about what you guys are talking about but that's a pretty ******ed thing to say.

If his knee was no issue, why did he have to get special permission to wear a knee sleeve for that fight?

Who wears knee support for healthy knees?

Sergio Martinez never made excuses for his loss to Cotto. He gave cotto and his team respect.

Similarly, Cotto never made excuses for his loss to Margarito. He said he got tired after 6-7 rounds, and Margarito took advantage. He speculated that margarito may have used illegal handwraps, but he also admitted after the second fight that margarito's punches felt the same.

              • One could argue that he tore his knee as a result of being dropped 3x by Cotto. Once his chin got cracked, he lost his legs and hurt his knee once again.

What came first? The Cotto Crack or that "knee doe?"

Judging by his sprinting ability in round 6... I would say Surgio's knee was good to go.

What he said was, "during a fight... the adrenaline does not allow you to FEEL the punches really"

Now, FEELING the punches, has NOTHING to do with the damage said punches actually cause.

You don't have to FEEL a punch when it breaks your nose causing you to drink your own blood for 9 rounds. The damage is still done.

The commentators DID notice that Margarito's punches were NOT making the same sound nor having the same affect on Cotto in the rematch.

In effort to AVOID new injury, the brace was used. What he needed was headgear.

He should rematch Cotto with a helmet on.

Cotto respect and legacy is set, he is a Hall Of Famer and one of the greatest Puerto Rican fighters ever. I literally LAUGH when fans are still trying to get guys like Mayweather, Pacquiao, JMM and Cotto to "Prove Themselves"

Where the *** have you fans been, this is a older Cotto that is on the downside of his career. What he does now won't have any effect on his Legacy because for THOSE that remember PRIME COTTO, that man was fighting who ever Arum was putting in front of him. Maybe that is why I give Cotto a PASS is because I watched his entire career and I remember Prime Cotto and him paying his Dues in this sport. New boxing fans want GGG and Canelo to get a shortcut to the top simply because they like those fighters. It doesn't work like that, you have to find your own way to the top and the ones that do get the shortcut to the top like Broner and Canelo they usually end up getting EXPOSED for not being deserving or ready

Getting a shot a Cotto is a ***ing HONOR for Canelo and GGG it is not a requirement for Cotto
