Oscar said this from day one we agreed on everything. Top Rank said everything is done we just waiting on the green light from Cotto. We know that Cotto was set to make more money then he got from fights with Floyd, Manny and Sergio. It was a career high payday. Money was not the issue. Then all a sudden things got funny where Cotto refused to sign or agree to a fight with all the terms he initially wanted. Then his manager says they need more money. Yet to this day Golden Boy and Top Rank have no idea what the exact money is they were looking for since both sides tried to reach Cotto and his management never returned calls. Then Oscar is on record saying we gave them 4 different deadlines. At no point did Cotto's people give a counter offer they simply refused to agree.

Again big difference in we are still negotiating and one side flat out refusing to commit or return phone calls. The only side that was lying is Cotto because months later we find out this entire time they were negotiating a deal with Roc Nation. That didn't happen after the Canelo fight fell apart that was going on at the same time making Cotto and his manager liars. And clearly HBO is siding with the Golden Boy and Top Ranks version of the events otherwise they wouldn't of refused to air his next fight without assurance that he will this time follow through and fight Canelo.
The majority of your post is a flat out lie, GBP was negotiating with Cotto right up until the Friday where DLH pulled out because Canelo told him to. DLH was saying terms were agreed to in the first weeks while they were still negotiating, and irregardless of how you want to make things up, Cotto wanted more then to 10.5 mill that was offered to him, and they would not give it to him, thats pretty fuxing specific.

They kept extending the deadline for Cotto and he wouldn't give them an answer. You are a fool if you think they waited till tuesday and gave Cotto a 6th deadline the fight would of been made. He was working on the Roc Nation deal

As Miguel Cotto reunited with Top Rank before his bout versus Delvin Rodriguez in October of 2013, he had pledged his loyalty to Todd duBoef( the president of Top Rank) with whom he had enjoyed a close, personal relationship with. Top Rank had promoted the Puerto Rican to stardom after signing him out of the 2000 Olympics. After a winless 2012 where he faced Floyd Mayweather and Austin Trout outside the Top Rank banner, he returned to them and notched victories over Rodriguez and then became the middleweight champion of the world with a knockout of Sergio Martinez last June. It was expected that a bout with Mexican star, Saul Alvarez would be next this spring.

Now there are reports coming out that Cotto will be signing a promotional pact with Roc Nation Sports on Thursday. Yes, where there is smoke there is fire.

When reached at his office in Las Vegas, Todd duBoef told Boxingscene.com - "I'm disappointed in their conduct across the board. People can make business decisions and I may not agree with it, but I'll tell you what, when you talk about a relationship - conduct is everything."

As Cotto and his reps turned down a fight with Alvarez (which would've paid him in the neighborhood of $10.5 million) for a period of time there was suddenly radio silence on their end as phone calls and emails from duBoef - who wanted to map out their next move - went unreturned.

''You don't act that way if you know how to handle relationships and it's in your DNA to be professional,"said duBoef.

It wasnt the same offer they gave 5 deadlines for you imbecile. Each deadline was specific to each offer in which Cotto did not accept and sent back a counter offer to which DLH responded with his own counter offer, which is defined as NEGOTIATING. The last offer DLH said they had until friday to accept, when Gabby said we have a meeting Tuesday and we will have an answer DLH pulled out at the request of Canelo, if it wasnt for Canelo this fight might have continued to be negotiated and the fight could have happened in June. It was Todd Debauf and Top Rank who said Cotto wasnt communicating with them, and we know why. DLH never said anything about communication.

He and his team was stalling. And Top Rank said Cotto flat out wasn't returning their calls. I see no reason why either Top Rank or Golden Boy would lie about it. And it makes sense when right after it falls apart we found out that he is signing to Roc Nation which makes sense why his team couldn't give a answer to golden boy and kept pushing back the deadline or why he wasn't returning calls to Top Rank. The liar in all this was Cotto. It's impossible to be trying to finalize a deal for the Canelo fight with your promoter Top Rank when you are negotiating a deal with a new promoter at the same time.

All you guys upset over Canelo negotiations, I understand. Cotto secured himself financially with a huge offer from Roc Nation, whats wrong with that? Canelo will get his soon enough.

Was anybody in doubt that this fight wasn't going to happen? This fight is way too huge for it not too.
