Time will tell, I still think Martinez is due to come back with a **** TKO in the championship round is my call Martinez goes in for the kill unlike Trout vs Cotto this fight will be similiar to that I think only with Martinez landing more damaging shots.

So you'd be okay with a title fight at 155lb catch weight limit? or a 154.5 limit? That's still under the middleweight limit.

I have no problem with cotto taking his optional but you should admit how bad the optics look on this, especially if the fight is 157.

ok. I saw that but didn't interpret it this way. Cotto essentially needs a 1st or 2nd round KO or else it looks even worse.

I agree here. If both parties are in agreement, all the *****ing in the world will not make a difference.

This is wrong. The champion should always try to have the benefit. It's the challenger that needs to make accommodations. If the challenger does not agree to any stipulations, than they can go fight someone else.

These guys are grown man and professionals. They have come to a mutual agreement for a fight. If Geale's team were unwilling, they could have just moved on or continued to negotiate

I find this argument to be ****. It's still bad.

It's obvious the challenger will agree, you do understand that every fighter's dream is to become a world champion? It's a life long dream. Do you really think Geale is gonna say "Nah man, I'm not gonna fight Cotto at 157 even if it is for another shot at the title against a big household name on HBO." ?

It's like giving a hungry man a peace of hard bread. He's gonna take it.
