Danny is a monster puncher. Did you see lamont sprinting away like a coward in complete fear of the boogeyman those first 6 rounds? He completely was dominated. I've never seen outright cowardice displayed quite like it was in the ring tonight. Sure he might have landed a couple flashy punches in the last few rounds but he was completely blown out and dominated early by savage punching garcia. Clear win for Garcia.

Negative! He showed endurance to avoid punishment and never remained to long in the pocket to allow Garcia to properly exchange with him. It was a smart move. He's no superman, but he had the better gameplan going in. Garcia should have assumed this as much and prepared for a person who was going to elect to be evasive.

But I do agree that if it would have gone to 15 Danny would have been out. HIs eye was closing and he was looking the less fresh of the two after twelve.

We basically have the same opinion. But my philosophy going in is that the aggressor wins the round when the other boxer is just jabbing and running. I understand ring generalship. But, there is no fight without an aggressor trying to make the fight. If a boxer chooses to move and avoid punches, he better land clean countershots to win the round. If not, I give the round to the aggressor that's throwing more. Split decisions happen all the time because judges differ when it comes to this scenario.

I wasn't scoring the fight closely. My thoughts towards the end of the fight was that Danny was clearly getting beat up, but maybe he won most of those early rounds. Either way, Garcia did not "win" in my mind.

I guess you never watched Peterson before...? His punches always look like they land hard. And with Danny looking gassed out like he did, it made the punches look even harder.

He didn't punch much of **** in the first four rounds. What explains the amount of damage done to Danny's face mid-fight?

After listening to the commentators say Danny had won the first three rounds I knew Lamont was going to get robbed. So what he used movement as well as his jab in the first half of the fight. He still landed the better shots and jacked up Danny's face. Hell in the second half of the fight when he started walking Danny down I heard those commentators say Danny had won the first three rounds and I knew Lamont was going to get robbed. I usually don't look at a guys face to say oh he lost but in this case if you compare Lamont's face to Danny's it's pretty tells you Lamont whooped that zza. ....

Dude give me a break ... If mayweather is moving and mAking you miss he's making you pay straight up! We've seen mayweather move early and then walk guys down later. Difference is when he was moving he was still landing more than his opponent and countering. Lamont was just moving completely out of punching range and wouldn't even try to counter. Big difference.
