There is a big difference between good defense and refusal to engage. When not much happens in a round, it is usually scored for the more aggressive fighter who is trying to make the fight happen.

It is a shame too, if Peterson didn't give away those first three rounds, he would have won the fight; he brutalized Danny in the last half of the fight.

Exactly. There are a lot of these so called boxing fans on here, who don't know anything about boxing. Garcia is a true professional. When your opponent runs like Peterson, you touch him when you can and make it count. You be careful and defensively responsible. Garcia did that. Peterson had like a 12-15 pound weight advantage. How come he was running anyway? Dumb gameplan that backfired. Boxing needs to hurry up and go back to same day weigh-ins and add a rehydration clause of not more than 7 pounds on fight night.

First and foremost, its Peterson's own fault that he lost. If he had pressured Danny the whole fight, he would have stopped him.

But my take away from the fight is that as a former PED cheat, I'm about 99% sure he was roided up last night. Not sure what he weighed. But, he was at least a division bigger than Danny and looked like a gotdamn middleweight. Dude's shoulders were huge. And for a non-puncher, those were some thudding punches he was landing. Not to mention, he spent the first third of the fight moving, and outta nowhere, Danny looked like he'd been run over by a bus. Very much reminded me of the first Margarito-Cotto fight where there weren't a lotta connects, but a lotta damage done.

I guess you never watched Peterson before...? His punches always look like they land hard. And with Danny looking gassed out like he did, it made the punches look even harder.

Not sure how Garcia is given more than four rounds.

When he was boxing and moving at the beginning of the fight, was Garcia outlanding him? I didn't think so. Farhoods bogus scorecard was the opposite of what PBCs own commentators were seeing. Towards the end of the fight one of them got the company memo and started trying to suggest that Peterson only started coming on late, while not doing anything earlier. Which contradicted his earlier commentary.
