it doesnt matter if there was anyone who could have beaten vitali, the point is that it was a bogus title and he hid with it until he had to retire.

oh, and its not a matter of taylor not looking like a superstar, its the fact that he got a gift decision in the first fight and never should have had the second shot.

having said that, does anyone really think that taylor deserves to be the 2006 FOTY? i sure as hell dont.
Dude, Hopkins is the Modern legend, not Tsyzu. People will still be talking about Hopkins in 50 years, Tszyu will be a forgotten man in 50 years.

Also that Hatton performance against Tszyu was not all that great to begin with, it was a damn close fight when Tszyu quit.

You seems to be getting lost. It was Taylor who's got the titles in the second fight so that's not a second shot for him.

The first fight was not convincing reason why the second fight was arranged but Bhops failed again. The mere fact that Taylor beat somebody who has never been beaten in 12 years qualifies him to be a fighter of the year. So stop whinning.

he got a gift decision according to who? a few select hopkins fans? imagine how bad the sport would be if the judges decided who won based on the fighters' fans opinion..LMFAO!! the majority of the boxing world sides with taylor on both fights, so please just leave it alone and stop making yourself look like a hopkins-worshipping fool!

hmmm, you must be looking at different expert opinions then. and i am certainly not a hopkins worshiper, he is boring as hell to watch but he clearly won the first fight and i think most people agree with me on that.

not whining just pointing out how easily people will follow an hbo champ. this is making the sport of boxing look like big time wrestling when the winner is picked before the fight if it goes to the cards.

Nope, ESPN polls around 60% Taylor, around 30% Hopkins and around 10% had it a draw. That is the biggest poll on the internet & that is the majority of the people.

How is the second fight a draw. All three judges had the same score and so did herold, who I tend to agree with most of the time. A paper champ would not have coneceted that many times to hopkins and tarver wont be able to do what taylor did. So keep hatin on taylor and after he whups winky you can find a new excuse to hate on him.
