Why don't people get what Haymon is doing?

People hate Haymon because he's associated with Floyd, people hate Haymon because he gets his boxers paid better than they used to be under old promoters and both of these reasons are just crazy...Both are better for the actual BOXERS. These are not "real" fans so just ignore them. Remember, Floyd has faced more champions than anyone who ever laced up a pair of gloves, and people still complain. People complain and nit pick, yet they do nothing themselves but complain about those that actually DO THINGS. :gay:

He has already had 3 of his boxers turn down much more money than they are currently making with him.

Kathy on a small as budget put together better match-ups when aired on Nbc.. She did OK on Nbc sports channel

They could have just let boxing be boxing and not tried to fix what wasn't broken. The problem with the sport was not the glitz and glam that was part of the sport from day one and there was no reason to change the way boxers walked to the ring or remove ring girls or the ring announcer or the fighter's entourage. None of that was hurting the sport. If anything it gave fans some energy and anticipation waiting for the fighter to enter the ring. The chaos in the ring after a fight is a sign of the excitement of the event. There was no valid reason to change all of that.

The main problems with boxing over the years have been poor match making and the political in fighting between promoters. Some people will point to the various sanctioning bodies and the number of titles. But that is more of a detail than a major problem holding the sport back.

PBC has done nothing at all to address the real problem in the sport, if anything they have simply moved the problems to a new venue. All they have done is to take an exciting combat sport and dull it down.

She should've done much better, but these boxing "fans" didn't support her, every Steve Cunningham fight she put was action packed, but you couldn't tell by looking at the ratings.

My man it was on Nbc sports channel, with little promotion. PBC is on the major network channel with tons of promotion. Again my beef has been the match making. They are paying a huge amount on purses for nothing but showcase fights. Against inferior opponents.

I'm still watching because I love the sport, and I watch probably 80% of the cards regardless if it's free or on cable
