Honestly what's the difference between Nottingham and London? Won't the same fans show up both places? It's a two hour drive between London/Nottingham, not quite the 3,000 miles between Oakland vs Atlantic City. Bull**** excuse by Andre. Besides Ward had no problem letting Kessler or Dawson come to his backyard.


This is either a power trip with both sides trying to call shots or both sides really don't want this and are clinging to this as an excuse.

RocNation should team up with someone like Frank Warren, win the purse bid and stage the fight in London.

There's no reason why Roc couldn't stage the fight in the UK if they won the purse bid, I guess.

I can't see why "Nottingham or nowhere" should be a sticking point for either side if they are still negotiating though.

London is only a couple of hours drive away from Nottingham and Froch would have the same home advantage there - same officials, same crowd, same everything.

So why isn't Froch ok with London? And if Ward is ok with London, why is he saying "no" to Nottingham?

I'm inclined to agree with what other people have posted here. That neither side really wants this fight and "Nottingham or nowhere" is a handy way out for both.

because the $$gate$$ in London would be 3 times what it brings in the States.....

But Roc Nation has plenty of money so I doubt the gate would be enough incentive to get them to give up home field advantage.......

Ward should take the fight in Nottingham but he is right about fighting anywhere besides Frochs hometown. It will be a duck by Froch if backs out anywhere else but Ward should take it in Nottingham.

I dont think the fight happens at all. The parties are just looking for a way way with a minimum loss of face.
