They only do that if they get paid a step aside fee. That or the WBC find another way around a mandatory like with Rubio

      I can't argue against that.

Yup they did it with Rubio and Rubio was Martinez mandatory before he took the Cotto fight. I fully expect them to get an excuse just to get on the Cotto-Canelo action. Is not impossible I can see them telling GGG to fight the Johnson-Heiland winner because they are silver champs or some **** like that.

Cotto is in LA and began training with Roach for his june 6 fight. Gaby says the fight will be on HBO and the opponent will be announced at the end of the week. Is either Heiland or Geale.

If Floyd/Cotto were to happen or even Cotto/Canelo for the title, I'm sure they'd make a new rule to allow it. There is no way they're going to take a fee on the 750k - 1 million dollar purse GGG gets when they'd get like 20-40 million purse with the other fights.

You're telling me Zbik and Sergio's murderer's row of European journeyman is somehow better? Seem to be the same level of competition in a weak division, it's not like Sergio picked GGG... he went with Cotto.

Sergio Martinez did the same ****. He fought the Darren Barkers, Mathew Macklins and Martin Murrays of the world. Geale and Heiland are in that same class. B class fighters in a division full of those class of fighters. Geale is rank #4 by the ring and is in every top 10 rankins in the division.

Cotto fights Geale or Heiland I give him props, as I favor both over Cotto.

It would not shock me at all if Cotto KO Geale quicker than GGG. Cotto is actually fast compare to the rest of the division and seem to carry his power to 160. I could easily see Cotto dominating this division with an iron fist.
