Miguel Cotto Next Fight Will Be On HBO, Started Training With Roach On Monday

Cotto is in LA and began training with Roach for his june 6 fight. Gaby says the fight will be on HBO and the opponent will be announced at the end of the week. Is either Heiland or Geale.

I think we get Cotto vs Geale and Tureano Johnson vs Jorge Heiland on the undercard. Seems like a good double header.

Hopefully it's Geale, I think it's a more competitive fight. That being said seeing as how Cotto picked a legit opponent, I see him holding out for Floyd again instead of Canelo again. (Or Manny, but I think if Manny wins it's Cotto/Canelo for sure)

I saw Heiland fight against Macklin and I disagree with you. Geale is more well known and a better win for his resume but Heiland is a tougher fight. The guy is a southpaw pressure fighter that throws punches in volume and we know that brings a challange to Cotto but both fights are hard fights.

Not bad but it could be a terrible decision to put Cotto in their with ANY legitimate middleweight.

Against Geale Cotto can be the agressor since Geale likes to move around and box.

I'm gonna guess Geale then if it's on HBO with Johnson/Heiland on the undercard.... winner most likely fighting for the vacated title against GGG

I fully expect WBC to make GGG fight Heiland-Johnson winner for the right to be mandatory just to get the sanctioning feed from Cotto-Canelo and it would not be the first time a sanctioning body does that. I actually fully expect Cotto to fight GGG in 2016 if he beats Canelo
