Brook could do a lot worse than Berto tbh. He definitely doesn't deserve a title fight, but I would rather see Berto than Gavin or Decarie.

Agreed Kiaba360. Berto is still a credible opponent at this stage, especially with other names that are being mentioned.

For those who are saying Brook only fights tomato cans, I don't think even his biggest fans would deny he's had his fair share. But credit where it's due, he left the UK and won the title from an undefeated fighter when many were writing him off, including the bookies (around a 2-1 underdog, -200 US odds).

I remember Porter being built up as a monster before Brook won (fairly, although I'll admit it was close) although whilst saying that Thurman does look to be better than Porter.

I don't think that's necessary. The fights he wins are embarrassing enough.

Perhaps the big names mentioned weren't interested right now - Has Marquez said he's coming back? I know he's got a dodgy knee. I also think it's naive to assume that because a boxer/promoter wants a fight and calls out a name that a fight will definitely happen, the name they've called out may have other plans.

To be honest I think Berto is a more credible opponent than Chaves or Rios right now. I agree that Thurman or JMM would better.

i like brook gavin and berto, i would watch both fights have not seen enough of him, berto is entertaining and gavin is a good domestic match even if he doesnt deserve it
