exactly ....... and memo knew where to go to get the good stuff. Doubly assured since they were doing all that outside of the USA.

Corrales was pissed both times he got stopped....dude would have died in that ring, its hard to beat guys like that, you have to knock them the **** out or box their ears off

Corrales had the never say die attitude...im not dis*****g whether he was a 100% but all that goes out the window when the bell rings....he didn't look as sluggish as some guys I saw struggle with weight....Jones looked half dead against Tarver in the first fight before the bell rung....Pale, his muscle definition was all but gone

Manny has been dropped and he usually gets up as well, most the time anyway...that's commendable

Acelino Freitas was a good puncher and Diego never got dropped or stopped trying to win

Fighters have won fights when they were weight drained or injured so should we penalize the guys who lost to them?
I'm just bringing up the fact that Diego was severely weight drained. Oscar never went down with Manny. So should we be saying that Oscar was in way better condition than Diego?

Again, Diego didn't even make the weight limit. He missed it by 2lbs!!! That is a lot. How do you think that Diego knocked off those 2lbs? This is a Diego that already was struggling and then had to squeeze out 2 more pounds.

I've seen fighters look a lot worse during the fight after cutting weight. Diego was gonna get outboxed either way, just like James toney vs Roy Jones

Fighting is their profession and if youre in no condition to fight, you can pull out...it happens because of injury and other things all the time. That's Corrales' team fault if he was weight drained. Discipline between fights is crucial. Its ironic people say it was hard for him to make the weight, but after a 2 year lay off he came back and won another title at 130 and fought Casamayor twice at 130.

Part of being a world class fighter and being considered a great fighter is coming in the ring in top condition. That's whats seperates the Roy Jones Jr from the James Toneys....the guys that can get by on talent. When talent is even or close to it, you better come in shape. Im not gonna penalize Ray Leonard for Duran blowing up and cutting weight before fight 2....nor will I penalize Jones Jr. for Toney....same goes for Floyd over Corrales

IMO he didn't look drained, as much as he looked befuddled during the fight.
          Exactly !

If Corrales was genuinely weight-drained, he would have moved up immedately, like Cotto did..... and not remained in that division for years.

And your point above in bold is 100% correct, but..... it detracts from the win..... as-in the case with Hoya/Pacquiao. Oscar fakked up the weight, so hard luck for him, but it detracts from Pacs victory nonetheless. Anybody would have beaten the 145lb version.

JMM has shown to be a stand up guy take cares of his family does not drink or ****s hookers Pac-tards should take note instead of bashing the guy because he knocked out Pacquiao. If Mayweather beats Pacquiao how are you nutjobs going to react its going to be 2012-12-08 all over again a bloodbath of Pac-tards

Diego did move up (over 130 limit) until getting the opportunity to get a title against Casamayor. He lost and was knocked down a few times. Next attempt was knocked down again. Went down 8 times between Casamayor and Floyd.

Diego had trouble making weight even above 130 and didn't make the weight a few times.

                  omfg...still?

of course the same vids that show him practicing how to land that punch are less valid than your butthurt speculation

that memo's first job with him was not that fight carries no weight

that both declared a need for a definitive ending is insignificant

that JMM was unable to get a decision in 3 close fights doesn't matter

Corrales fought at SFW years later, no excuses !

Listen, seeing that you are so concerned with weight, etc.....

What did you think about the 145lb De La Hoya that Pacquiao fought ?

                    Let me guess.....

You will slightly acknowledge that Hoya may not have been at his best (LOL), but you will still regard that as a great win for Pac, right ?

What about the fact that Pacquiao admitted that Marquez was no stronger..... and the fact that Pacquiao admitted that the reason why he got KTFO is because he made a mistake.

Manny is way classier than his clueless fans.
